1. Apply cleaner on fixtures (1 minute)
Let’s start with the dirtiest part of your bathroom: the toilet bowl. Run a toilet cleaner around the rim of your bowl and replace the cover. Then spray the outside surfaces with a liquid disinfectant solution. Do the same with your sink.
2. Brush and rinse (2 minutes)
Now, take your toilet brush and use it around the inside of the toilet bowl. Give it a good brushing – enough that it creates a soapy foam. Then using a sponge, scrub the outside of the bowl and the sink. Double down on areas that have stains. If they can’t be removed by scrubbing, apply a mixture of vinegar, baking soda, and water. Then rinse all surfaces with water – you may use your bidet like a hose to speed things up. A bucket of water and a dipper will also do the job.
3. Wipe surfaces and mop floor to dry (2 minutes)
Using a microfiber cloth, wipe down the outside of your toilet bowl and sink to dry them out as much as you can. Then use a dry bathroom mop to start drying out your bathroom floor. Removing as much moisture in your bathroom as possible prevents bacteria from spreading. Then, flush your toilet and you’re good to go!
Consider this 5-minute routine as your bathroom’s daily hygiene. But for a more thorough disinfection, spend more time to clean all parts of your bathroom including the walls, floors, and other niches at least once every one to two weeks.
